Traditional TV set

3. Get your TV remote and switch to “External Inputs” from the menu. You will need to swap the default “Video 1″ to a different selection which may get “HDMI 1″ or “Video 2″ depending on how you cash in on the connection.
Important: You may also need to change the screen resolution to your TV using the Display settings inside your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.
However, you will need try using a different cable to obtain the audio to your TV. Every laptop has a mini-headphone jack input to help you just buy a mini-headphone cable with male connectors with both ends.
If your HDTV doesn’t need a mini-headphone jack input you can use a headphone to RCA cable to find the audio from your laptop or PC for a HDTV.
